In the heart of Quercy between Cère and
Dordogne,
Auberge du Vieux Port features authentic cuisine prepared from fresh seasonal products and the family know-how passed down by grandfather Raymond who created the establishment in 1953, then by his son Jean-Pierre.
Today, Alexander at the ovens and his wife Nathalie at the reception desk represent the Lasfargeas family which, for 3 generations, have held the reins of this lovely home.
On the menu of regional specialities:
pan-fried lamb sweetbreads with boletus mushrooms,
Quercy lamb, duck foie gras,
Quercy-style flambée, parfait glazed with walnuts, strawberries...
In tune with the fare, an outstanding list of wines from all over France and a wide selection of regional wines (Cahors, Coteaux de Glane).
All to be enjoyed on the flower-adorned terrace or in the sunny-coloured dining room.
